Today is a momentous day as I celebrate the launch of my second novel, RED SEAL! I’m nervous and excited all over again! And this time, I’m shouting from the rooftops because I’m loud and proud!

Just two years ago, I published WHITE MULBERRY, not knowing what awaited. I am humbled and grateful for all the ways my debut novel has made it out into the world. What I’m most thankful for, however, are the heartfelt notes, messages, emails, and shout-outs from my readers and you saying that my novel moved you, made you feel seen, and you looked forward to the next installment. I hope RED SEAL meets your expectations!
Upcoming Events
I’m thrilled about all the fun events I have planned for RED SEAL. Please join me at one of my upcoming events, either virtually or in person!

The next two events are today and this Thursday!
KPBS in San Diego announced my launch day event today at Coronado Library here.

And I’ll be doing a virtual History Comes Alive Book Bingo event this Thursday with bestselling historical fiction authors.

Please rsvp on the Events page!
Order WHITE MULBERRY and RED SEAL
My publisher has announced a sale of WHITE MULBERRY, the companion book and prequel to RED SEAL, in case you haven’t read it yet! It has been selected as a Kindle Monthly Deal in the US marketplace and runs through 10/31/2026 at $2.49.
Order RED SEAL while you’re there! It’s also available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible.
Audio listeners will be able to hear the amazing voices of my narrators, Greta Jung and Keong Sim, who nailed the voices of Miyoung and Ko-chan/Soonho!
Grab a copy for the holidays too! It’s right around the corner. I personally think it would make a beautiful gift! ☺

What They’re Saying …
“Like the previous tale, this continuation of Miyoung’s story features themes of culture and identity, immigration, and determining one’s own destiny.” ―Booklist

Red Seal by Rosa Kwon Easton (10/6)
In 1942, Japan is fighting in the Pacific War. Miyoung is a Korean nurse and single mother who is ordered to serve the Japanese Imperial Army. Instead, she flees with her young son, Ko-chan, leaving behind all that they know and love including their family. Miyoung hopes that as they travel back to her homeland that Ko-chan can come to understand his heritage. First, they journey through Manchuria, where Miyoung’s brother offers them refuge and Ko-chan begins to question the future. When Japan’s defeat means they must flee again, a decades-long relationship with sacrifice and survival is formed that will influence future generations.
