Today is the big day—the official launch day for my debut novel WHITE MULBERRY! I can’t believe it’s finally here and I’m bursting with anticipation and joy. My novel will be available for readers to turn the pages with their own hands or on their devices. Audio listeners will be able to hear the amazing voice of my narrator Michelle H. Lee, who got the voice of Miyoung so right! This is the day I’ve been waiting for!
I am humbled and privileged to be a published author today. I am honored that my novel was selected as an Amazon First Reads Editor’s Pick for November and is a #1 Best Seller in Historical WWII Fiction, and a Top #100 New Release in the Kindle Store! It’s been vulnerable to have my work out there, but I’ve been moved beyond words by all the generous reviews and comments so far. And hopefully this is just the beginning of my book making its way out into the world and Miyoung’s story being enjoyed by readers everywhere (I have some more news to share with you on the international front later!). This is my dream come true.
As I look ahead, I’m excited about all the fun events I have planned. Please join me at one of my December events coming up soon. Grab a copy of my book for the holidays too! The cover is striking, and I personally think it would make a beautiful gift! ☺

I titled my January 2024 newsletter “The Year of White Mulberry” and what a year it’s been. I edited and finalized my manuscript, selected a cover and an audio narrator, visited Korea and Japan for research into my second book, started writing my second book, all while celebrating my 60th birthday too! As I look over my newsletters, I’m filled with gratitude for everyone who helped get me here today. I appreciate you all, especially those of you who have been following me along my journey!
