Appointment to Board of Library Trustees
I have been appointed to serve on the Board of Trustees of the Palos Verdes Library District. Through this role, I hope to champion the value of libraries in our communities. I believe in the power of libraries to transform lives, as it did mine. I learned English at the public library when I first immigrated to Los Angeles from Korea at age seven. The library was a sanctuary where I could improve my mind and pursue my educational dreams. I am looking forward to serving an institution that has given me and my community so much!
Here are a few photos of me with local public officials at the Rolling Hills Estates City Celebration at the Empty Saddle Club this past weekend: Assemblymember Al Murasuchi, fellow electeds from the Palos Verdes Library District, and officials of the City of RHE and the PVPUSD School Board. Happy Birthday RHE!
Rosa, love your website! Look forward to being on the author’s panel with you … should be a fascinating conversation! And congratulations on your library board appointment. You will be such an amazing leader for this treasure of a community resource.
Thank you Caroline for going to my website! I am honored to be on the authors panel with you and all the other amazing writers. You have been busy with USC leadership activities so congratulations to you on that! Looking forward to Saturday and many more future connections!
